The 15-week Nutrition and Wellness Coaching learning journey is designed to offer an integrated experience of two popular programs from Harvard Medical School Executive Education — the Health and Wellness: Designing a Sustainable Nutrition Plan program and the Lifestyle and Wellness Coaching program. This journey empowers healthcare advocates, health coaches, wellness advisors, and fitness trainers like you to support clients in adopting and sustaining healthy behaviors that lead to lasting health and a healthier life.
The program is led by Dr. Elizabeth Frates, MD, FACLM, DipABLM, a trained physiatrist as well as a health and wellness coach, who is recognized for her pioneering contributions to lifestyle medicine. By integrating nutrition, health, and wellness insights with practical coaching techniques, the learning journey supports you in acquiring advanced capabilities to design a comprehensive plan for sustainable nutrition and healthy living patterns.

The weekly journal reflections are integral to the Nutrition and Wellness Coaching learning journey, providing hands-on opportunities to apply concepts from both the Health and Wellness: Designing a Sustainable Nutrition Plan program and the Lifestyle and Wellness Coaching program.
You will engage in projects that address real-world wellness challenges, equipping yourself with the knowledge and skills needed to create comprehensive health strategies. Throughout this journey, you will explore sustainable nutrition planning, develop effective coaching techniques, and learn to set and refine SMART goals, ultimately empowering your clients to adopt and sustain healthier lifestyles.

Upon completing the Nutrition and Wellness Coaching learning journey, you will receive three digital certificates from Harvard Medical School Executive Education. These include a certificate of completion for the Health and Wellness program, a certificate of completion for the Lifestyle and Wellness Coaching program, and an advanced certificate recognizing your completion of the Nutrition and Wellness Coaching learning journey.
